Metro Shipping Containers (“Metro Shipping Containers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides shipping container delivery services throughout Texas and to other areas where delivery is available. This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how orders are prepared, transported, delivered, and placed.

1. Delivery Areas

Metro Shipping Containers offers shipping container delivery throughout Texas, including North Texas and surrounding areas.

We may also arrange delivery to neighboring states and other locations depending on container availability, transportation options, distance, and delivery requirements.

Delivery availability and pricing may vary by location.

2. Delivery Availability

Before placing an order, customers should confirm that the selected container can be delivered to the desired location.

Delivery depends on factors including:

  • Container availability

  • Customer location

  • Distance from the container yard

  • Truck and trailer availability

  • Road conditions

  • Local access requirements

  • Site conditions

  • Weather

  • Applicable transportation restrictions

A delivery date or estimated delivery timeframe may be provided after the order and delivery details have been confirmed.

3. Delivery Charges

Delivery charges are based on factors such as:

  • Delivery location

  • Distance

  • Container size

  • Transportation requirements

  • Delivery equipment required

  • Site access

  • Special placement requirements

Delivery charges may be listed separately from the container purchase price unless otherwise stated.

Customers will be informed of applicable delivery charges before the order is finalized.

4. Preparing Your Delivery Site

The customer is responsible for preparing the delivery location before the container arrives.

The delivery site should provide:

  • Adequate space for the container

  • A suitable surface capable of supporting the container

  • Sufficient clearance for the delivery truck

  • Adequate overhead clearance

  • A safe and accessible route to the delivery location

  • Any required permits or approvals

Customers should remove vehicles, equipment, debris, branches, or other obstacles that could interfere with delivery.

5. Site Access

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery truck can safely access the property.

Access may be affected by:

  • Narrow roads

  • Sharp turns

  • Low bridges

  • Low-hanging trees or utility lines

  • Gates

  • Fences

  • Buildings

  • Uneven or unstable ground

  • Soft soil

  • Steep grades

  • Other obstacles

If the delivery location is not safely accessible, Metro Shipping Containers may be unable to complete delivery.

Additional charges may apply if special equipment, additional labor, or alternative delivery arrangements are required.

6. Container Placement

When placement service is included, the driver will position the container as close as reasonably possible to the requested location based on site conditions and safety requirements.

The driver has final authority over where the container can safely be placed.

Metro Shipping Containers cannot guarantee placement in an exact location if doing so would create a safety risk or if the site does not provide sufficient access.

Customers should communicate any specific placement requirements before delivery.

7. Delivery Inspection

Customers should inspect the container upon delivery.

The customer should check:

  • Exterior condition

  • Interior condition

  • Doors and locks

  • Flooring

  • Roof

  • Accessories

  • Modifications

  • Any visible transportation damage

Customers should notify Metro Shipping Containers as soon as possible if they notice significant damage or an issue with the delivered container.

Photographs or videos may be requested to document delivery-related damage.

8. Delivery Delays

Although we work to meet the estimated delivery timeframe, delivery dates are not guaranteed unless specifically agreed to in writing.

Delivery may be delayed because of:

  • Severe weather

  • Traffic

  • Mechanical problems

  • Transportation delays

  • Driver availability

  • Road closures

  • Site access problems

  • Container availability

  • Unexpected logistical issues

  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control

If a significant delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate the updated delivery information.

9. Customer or Third-Party Transportation

If the customer arranges transportation through a third-party carrier, Metro Shipping Containers is not responsible for damage, delays, or other issues occurring after the container has been released to that carrier.

The customer should confirm that the carrier has the appropriate equipment and experience to transport the selected container.

10. Delivery Restrictions

Metro Shipping Containers reserves the right to refuse or postpone delivery when the delivery location presents an unreasonable safety risk or does not provide adequate access.

Examples may include:

  • Unsafe roads

  • Insufficient clearance

  • Unstable ground

  • Dangerous weather conditions

  • Restricted access

  • Insufficient space

  • Unsafe overhead conditions

The customer may be responsible for additional costs resulting from an unsuccessful delivery attempt caused by site conditions or inadequate access.

11. Special Delivery Requirements

Some containers may require specialized transportation or equipment.

Examples include:

  • High cube containers

  • Oversized or modified containers

  • Specialty containers

  • Containers requiring crane placement

  • Containers requiring specialized unloading equipment

Any additional transportation or equipment charges will be communicated when applicable.

12. Permits and Local Requirements

Customers are responsible for determining whether permits, zoning approvals, homeowner association approvals, or other local requirements apply to placing or using a shipping container on their property.

Metro Shipping Containers can provide general information about the container but does not guarantee that a container placement or use will be permitted by a particular city, county, municipality, property owner, or homeowners association.

Customers should verify applicable requirements before purchasing or scheduling delivery.

13. Failed Delivery Attempts

If delivery cannot be completed because of customer-related issues, including inadequate site access, blocked access, unsafe conditions, or failure to prepare the site, additional delivery or transportation charges may apply.

Any applicable redelivery costs will be communicated to the customer.

14. Title and Risk of Loss

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, responsibility for the container generally transfers to the customer upon delivery.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the delivery location is prepared and suitable for the container before delivery.

Nothing in this section limits rights or protections provided by applicable law.

15. Delivery of Modified Containers

Modified or customized containers may require additional preparation, transportation, or delivery considerations.

Customers should discuss delivery requirements for customized containers before production or shipment begins.

Changes to the container after purchase may also affect transportation and placement requirements.

16. Weather and Site Conditions

Metro Shipping Containers may postpone delivery when weather or site conditions make transportation or placement unsafe.

Examples include heavy rain, flooding, ice, severe storms, excessively soft ground, or other conditions that could create a safety risk or damage the property or container.

Delivery will be rescheduled when reasonably possible.

17. Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for:

  • Providing accurate delivery information

  • Providing a safe and accessible delivery location

  • Preparing the site before delivery

  • Obtaining required permits and approvals

  • Informing us of access restrictions

  • Removing obstacles from the delivery route

  • Being available or arranging an authorized person to receive the delivery when required

  • Inspecting the container upon delivery
